Our walls and their walls

The United States, which led the chorus greeting the fall of the Berlin Wall as a sign of the ultimate defeat of socialism and triumph of democracy and human rights, turned a blind eye to its West Asian proxy Israel's construction of a wall meandering through the West Bank reducing Palestinians to the status of prisoners in their own homeland. The International Court of Justice's disapproval of the construction has made the separation barrier as illegal as Israel's occupation of the Palestinian territory and its expansionism with the military, monetary and moral support of its benefactors in Washington.
